Veterans' Preference Instructions
Veterans: To ensure that your military service is credited appropriately, submit the required documentation by the closing date of this announcement.
- In order to be considered as a 5-point preference eligible, submit a copy of your Certificate of Release or Discharge From Active Duty, DD214 (member 4 copy) indicating that you have been separated from active duty in the Armed Forces with an honorable or general discharge. You can obtain a copy of your DD form 214, Report of Separation by visiting the following web site: http://www.archives.gov/veterans/evetrecs/index.html.
- If you are claiming 10-point preference, submit the appropriate documentation required for your type of preference, which is listed on page two (Back) of the OPM SF-15.
