NIH Hiring Event for People with Disabilities

"Across this country, millions of people with disabilities are working or want to work, and they should have access to the support and services they need to succeed. That's why I've asked the responsible agencies to develop new plans and policies to help increase employment across America for people with disabilities." President Barack Obama

Discover a career at NIH: It's about life.

In October 2009, President Barack Obama announced a groundbreaking initiative to increase the employment of people with disabilities in the Federal Workforce. One of the steps in the initiative is a hiring event for individuals with disabilities. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) met this challenge by hosting two Hiring Events for People with Disabilities in the summer of 2010 and 2011. Based on the success of this Event, for both applicants and the NIH Community, we will be sponsoring another INVITATION-ONLY Event in late August 2012.
