The NIH Police and Fire Protection staff keep everyone on the NIH campus safe and secure. The NIH campus houses many buildings including our hospital which is the largest brick building in the world. We also have laboratory space, residential areas, and office environments.
Managing these environments as well as the more than 18,000 employees, patients, and visitors to the NIH can create unique challenges for the NIH Police and Fire Protection staff.
